Travel tips that will change your life

Since I took my first plane at the age of 6, I knew that traveling would be part of my life forever. I felt it inside of me.

The same thing happens to you?

On every trip, I learn something new. Good because I’ve been wrong about something, and I have no choice but to learn; well because I have lived unforgettable experiences that have made me improve as a traveler and grow as a person.

That’s why in this post I want to show you 8 travel tips that will change your life forever. In short, the little tricks and lessons that I have been discovering in all my travels make the journey easier and more rewarding.

Travel tips that will change your life forever

Better Safe Than Sorry

Put a change of underwear, a T-shirt and a small toiletry bag in your hand luggage.

It doesn’t have to happen, but if your bag doesn’t show up, you’ll feel more at ease knowing you have the basics until it arrives. There is no need to start the trip in a bad mood!

Jet Lag Is Not Your Best Travel Companion

Jet lag can bug you the first few days of a trip; so the less you feel it, the better. Drink plenty of water and don’t drink alcohol or caffeine so you don’t get dehydrated.

Try to get some sleep on the plane, don’t go to bed as soon as you arrive at your destination, eat lightly for the first few days, and go outside to enjoy the trip.

Learn To Pack Like A Pro

The most important thing is to plan what you are going to wear in advance so as not to pack clothes that you are not going to wear in the end. (It’s happened to you, hasn’t it? 😉

The key is to take advantage of every space in the suitcase and the rolled or folded clothes, depending on the type of garment. And don’t wear clothes that wrinkle a lot like linen.

How To Make The Perfect Travel Bag

It may seem silly to you, but the travel bag and what you put inside are key to not going crazy in a country you don’t know.

Do not forget the essentials that you will not be able to find so easily in a foreign country.

A bit of advice? Take transparent travel bottles with a special cap so that all the creams and liquids do not come out. And take advantage of the samples they give you when you buy large boats or those that you “borrow” in hotels.

Buy Multi-Destination Airline Tickets

If you are going to travel a long distance by car or train between two destinations, it is best to buy a cheap one-way plane ticket to your first destination and the return ticket from the last.

This will save you time and money, and you won’t have to return to the same place you landed from.

We did that recently on our trip to Canada, where we arrived through Vancouver and returned through Calgary.

Always Carry Baby Wipes

I’ve gone crazy? Well no. Wet wipes have saved us on more than one trip.

They are used to clean you when you eat, to cool off after an excursion in the sun, to clean your feet if you go to the beach, to clean your hands if you have any problem with the car… I could go on… Because they are basic!

Prepare A Basic Pack For The Plane

Long plane rides can be very tiresome and boring. Therefore, in order for the time to pass faster and to enjoy the journey as much as possible, you need to make a “basic pack” that you will put in the bag or backpack that you take with you in the cabin of the plane.

Choose The Perfect Suitcase For Each Trip

It is not the same to travel to the jungle where you are going to move every day and crush the suitcase than to spend a week on a paradisiacal island in the Maldives.

I always travel with a semi-hard suitcase, because they are the ones that give me the best results, they do not arrive broken or open. It is not the first time that I find my hard suitcase open or brandishing it cracked
