We use glue for so many home projects, but we usually go out and buy it. Many people do not realise it is possible to make your own glue. In fact, making glue can be a home project in itself! There are various different types of glue you can make depending on what exactly you want to stick. Here are a few good options.
Making glue to stick paper or cardboard together can be cheap and easy. This is a simple recipe for making paper glue.
Mix one third of a cup of flour with two tablespoons of sugar. Plain white flour or bread making flour will be your best choices. Slowly add one cup of water, stirring all the time to make sure there are no lumps. Heat the resulting paste over a low heat until the paste is clear, and it’s ready to use straight away!
If you do not plan to use all the paste at once, mix in half a teaspoon of alum powder and store the paste in a glass jar. It will keep for a few weeks, and there is no need to refrigerate it.
Water-resistant glue for ceramics, glass and porcelain
This glue is water-resistant but not very temperature-resistant, so if you use it to mend a mug, do not use the mug for tea or coffee!
Soften one pack of unflavoured gelatine with three and a half teaspoons of cold water. Boil two teaspoons of milk (a few seconds in the microwave will do the trick) and then stir it into the gelatine until there are no lumps.
This glue works best when it’s still hot. If it’s too runny, you can let it cool down a little as it will solidify. You can store it for a few days and warm it over a hot pan to use it again.

It could be just a small area within your shed or an extra room in your house but by contacting a Loft conversion Bristol company at links like caineslofts.co.uk you could get expert advice and quotes on what might work for you in your attic space.
If you want to glue two metal surfaces together, it is probably best to buy a metal bonding adhesive. Because metal is non-porous and also heavy, it needs a very strong adhesive to ensure it holds together.
