Epson Pro Cinema 6040B, a Full HD projector without breaking a sweat racing to 4K

In the last fair CEDIA 2016 Epson introduced a new model of projector for home theater enthusiasts who comes to compete directly with the new equipment 4K brands such as Sony and JVC but for a price much lower.

This is the Epson Pro Cinema 6040B a 3LCD device with panels 1080pincorporating what they call “4K Enhancement”, a kind of technology pixel shifting that simulates show more extra pixels than they really are there better detail with respect to a model 1080p, though without becoming 4K / UHD true.

Those who have seen operating at the fair say the results are excellent. In fact, critics have given the award for the best home entertainment projector, unapologetic competing models that cost more than double.

The key interest generated this team Epson is not only in the ability to simulate a somewhat higher resolution real (feature that other models are already able to do, such as JVC), but does so with one more moderate cost and with full support for video sources 4K HDR as new UHD Blu-ray 1080p rather than conventional models cannot do.

The 6040UB offers a dynamic contrast of 1000000:1 and a brightness of 2,500 lumens with 100% color space DCI-P3 support. It has motorized lenses with 10 memories different and 2.1x zoom with what should be fairly easy to place in any room with screen sizes up to 200 inches.
